It’s Time for Some Bathtime Fun and Games

As a mum, I adore me some bathtime fun.  Warm water, a glass of bubbles, no kids… But alas, today I’m here to talk about bathtime activities for the kids your life.

You may have a toddler reluctant to bath, a baby who screams the moment they get wet or a super splasher in your family. We can help calm all those things down by sharing a few of our favourite bath products and games.

NZ’s Favourite Activities for Bathtime Fun

Splish splash, the kids were taking a bath….and they had plenty of bathtime fun. Here are some of our favourite activities:

• Gravity play – hunt out those bits of PVC pipes and plastic containers you have lying around. It’s time to make the bath water flow all around inside the tub.
• Sponge boats – using a straw, blow your sponge boat down the bath to the finish line, again and again.
• Bath bombs – let’s get the party started with some fizzy bath bomb action. Honeysticks Coloured Bath Drops have plenty of fizz and even change the water to a bright vibrant colour. But don’t worry, because there’s no mess or stains left behind in the bath.
• Surprise ice cubes – freeze little surprises inside ice cubes (big or small) and see what happens when they melt. Things such as leaves, biodegradable glitter and plastic animals work well.

• Bubble blowing – there’s a reason why kids love bubbles so much; they’re super fun. As a parent, you can reduce those messy spills that happen by giving your child the bubble mixture to blow in the bath. Very easy to clean up afterwards too.
• Duplo bath fun – get the Duplo clean and entertain your kids at the same time! Make sure you only use pieces which are too big to go down the drain though.
