I love my local shops. By local, I not just meaning the ones down the road, but also those around NZ. Because I’m a Mum, and it’s not always possible to go out to shop, as I’m sure you know. With dinner, work, kids, mess, kids and more mess, there’s always something that gets in the way. That’s why I buy online from local shops a lot of the time. There’s something so convenient about online shopping, isn’t there?

Anyway, there’s a list of brilliant local shops I love which as promised, I’m sharing with you next.

Mrs Squoodles’ Secret Favourite Local Shops List

Since you’re here, I’ll share my top-secret list of local shops with you – but whatever you do, don’t share this with anyone (except if they love shopping as much as us!).

• The best gift boxes come from The Pressie Box. They’ve helped me so many times by sending gift boxes on my behalf throughout NZ. Gorgeous products! Want to send me one?
• Kids get wet and muddy so easily, making Mud Mates the perfect product! Their coveralls and overpants are just amazing at stopping dirt and water getting onto clothing – and saving me plenty of washing too.
• Tutus at Mayhem Creations are simply divine. Hand-tied and available in both pre-chosen and custom made colours and designs, they’re available in both kids and adult sizes. Mummy and daughter outfits anyone?
• Looking for some super cool school bags? Cobalt Heights has some stunning and unique designs – so neat in fact, that they’ll be lucky if I don’t keep them for me instead of the kids!
• Your kids look cute, so why can’t you? ETC Clothing has some amazing outfits for Mum because you deserve to look amazing (or cute if you like) too!
• When you’re pregnant and breastfeeding, the right maternity clothing makes all the difference. Mrs Smith Clothing has what I think are the nicest maternity clothing ranges.
• When it’s gift shopping time, Skye Candle and Body Care have some simply beautiful gifts! The wax melts smell divine.
• Is your baby or toddler struggling to sleep? Had enough sleep deprivation as a parent to last a lifetime? Check out Sleepytot for all of your baby sleep-aide needs.
• Finally, Little Society has some super fun kids clothing ranges. I’m loving the boys’ collection, which just looks adorably cute.
