About The Author

Anne Hume had a long career as a science educator, including twenty-five years as a primary and secondary teacher, four years as a school evaluator, and twelve years as a university academic. During that time she produced a wide range of publications for students, teachers, and researchers in the field of science education. In 2017 she retired with her husband, Terry, to Waiheke Island. She is the proud nan of three grandchildren and owner of two West Highland Terriers called Jock and Lassie. Anne enjoys reading storybooks with her grandchildren. These moments have given Anne an appreciation of what appeals to younger readers and insights into what matters in their worlds.
